Hope City Church was founded in January 2014 in Savannah, Georgia, in a movie theater by Pastors Corey and Tomekia Williams with a simple vision of helping individuals Know God, Find Freedom, Discover Purpose, and Make a Difference. The church had its first meeting with about 200 in attendance. The attendance settled at about 75 faithful people five weeks after the initial launch. From there, Hope City has grown into what it is today, a beacon of hope and light in Savannah and the surrounding areas.

In 2016, we obtained our first permanent location: a small storefront building. Quickly we outgrew there. We were forced to knock down walls to extend the auditorium. With no more room to grow, we moved our Sunday morning services to Southwest Middle School for about two years in 2018. There we grew not just in numbers but also in our influence and impact on the community. 

In 2022, we acquired our current facility in the Shoppes of Savannah outlet, and we are amazed by all that God is doing. We believe we are standing in a miracle.

Our next immediate goals include launching our first HCC community campus in 2023, the first of several community campuses in the Savannah area. While we see ourselves having services in our current location for about three more years, we are actively looking for land and/or a permeant facility owned by Hope City for our central location.

Hope City Church proudly supports its members with 20+ ministries, from counseling, Giving Hope Christmas Mall, and Financial Freedom Workshops to its quarterly anti-hunger food fair. For more information on how to get involved, email [email protected].
